Pumpkin-head appears only at night. At the sunrise he will die that's why he affraid light. This mob can live only in the dark. And he can attack you on a distance. He throws Jack "O" Lantern in a sacrifice. If you will meet him in a cave or in a dark room he will attack you. You can save yourself if you find an asylum or kick him.
A sword is the best weapon to protect yourself. Sword Damage.
