Pickaxes are type of very useful items in Survival Mode. Only with Pickaxes the user can mine all types of Ore, and other types of blocks such as: Coal Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Diamond Ore, Iron Door, Furnace, Block of Iron, Block of Gold, Block of Diamond, Stone, Cobblestone.
It is requires special type of pickaxes to harvest sucessfully different type of ores and blocks. For example, Coal Ore can be mined with any type of pickaxe. But Iron Ore can be mined only with Stone, Iron or Diamond Pickaxes, or the player will harvest nothing.
